Date Listed: Mar-24-08 Live In Caregiver needed in Exchange for Room,Board and Food We are looking for a live in caregiver/companion for a easygoing 77 year old male. He has no physical limitations. This would be a 24 hr/5day a week position. You will be his constant companion and caregiver M-F only. He cannot be left alone at home at any time. Ideally we would prefer a mature female 50+ years old perhaps on social security who can still cook but will consider others. Non smoker, non drinker, no drug use. Clean bill of health. Duties will be: Meal prep. ( 3 times a day) Laundry.(very little) Light housekeeping. Personal hygiene reminders. Working in the garden with him. Listening to music Engaging in happy conversations. Going for walks. Benefits will be: In exchange for care giving/companion, we are offering a large beautiful master bedroom with private bath, walk in closet,cable tv and sliding door access to the backyard. This is a fairly new large 4 bedroom home on a safe court in Modesto with a 3 car garage available for inside parking Inside laundry is also available. Your rent, food and utilities are all covered but there is NO PAY and you MUST have some sort of your own income (not from an outside job during the week!), And be able to enjoy spending your weekdays with a nice elderly gentleman. Weekends Off. (Fri-7:30 pm to Sun-7:30 pm) You must understand the nature of this position. This is a very easy situation. This gentleman gets up at 6:30-7:00 and is in bed by 7:30-8:00. He is very easy to get along with. Do Not Respond if you have personal problems and or issues! Stress will effect this mans good nature.This is a situation where we can benefit from each other but we will not be taken advantage of. If you really don't have an interest in caring/companion with this man and are just looking for a free place to live, DO NOT waste my time or yours. |
